Welcome!

Hi all! I'm taking a tech class and one of the requirements is to create a blog. I've created a blog specifically for our teachers and staff at St. Raymond School. Enjoy the rest of the summer and I hope to chat with you soon!

Blue Cross Blue Shield Online

Go to http://bcbsil.com/ to register and see your medical and dental info (if you are a member).

Last week I found "Personal Health Manager" (on right) that will track your fitness routine and foods you eat. You can earn GIFT CARDS - up to $200 - just by tracking! It takes some time to set up and once you get going, it's not bad to do! I'd like to do a class for this when we get back. Interested? Let me know!

Websites Found This Week!

After chatting with some of the teachers in my class and reading some tech magazines during down time, I have these websites to share:

http://www.dynamicgeometry.com/ - geometer's sketchpad (maybe for jr high)
http://www.busyteacherscafe.com/ - K-6 teachers resource website (resources, ideas, lessons, free printables, and more)
http://www.sciencebuddies.org/ - Free science fair project ideas, answers, and tools for students
http://makebeliefscomix.com/ - Create own comic strip
http://chatterboxgames.com/ - The Chatterbox helps families have fun while learning important life skills. Simply pull out a card when you are all together and let the learning and fun begin. (IDK - found in magazine)
http://goknow.com/ - children will use handhelds for the classroom's teaching and learning activities (using palm pilots and danas - want to do more this year)
http://books.google.com/ - previews of books - has most of the pages, but leaves a few out. May be good for reviewing - can show on screen.
